First of all I have to say that the dedication was really fun. Brody took a nap that morning and was in quite a good mood. He kept talking and clapping through the service and everyone loved it. He was so fun. At the end of the service that pastor took Brody to present him to the congregation and everyone is clapping and so then Brody decided to cheer and clap. I love that boy!! :) We had a lot of support from our friends and family and loved having you all there. Thank you so much.

Dedicated...
So remember how a long time ago I dedicated my son. Well I am finally writing about it. Friday night my sister and I got to sneak away and we went and saw Mama Mia. I must confess I saw it twice. It's super cheesy, and I love it. :) It's a fun movie and I thought it was hilarious. Saturday we went shopping all day. It was fun to spend the day with my sisters and my nephews. My nephews love Brody and the feeling was mutual. I told Brody to give them hugs goodnight and he went up to them and gave them each a hug and a kiss. Although my nephew Sam thought that Brodes was trying to bite him because he kisses with his mouth wide open. :) Too funny. I didn't get very many pictures, sadly. I also didn't take any pictures of the dedication. It breaks my heart. I forgot my camera. I still can't believe it. However, I have a friend who took a short video clip of the dedication. Unfortunately this post has been delayed because I can't seem to get the video uploaded. It's been so frustrating. :( URRR... so when I figure it out I will post it.

My Little Big Man!
Brody got another haircut last night. You would think he is being tortured! Seriously!! I feel so bad for the stylist. Anyway, he is being dedicated on Sunday and I am so excited to have my family coming to support us. Then we are all going out for lunch together afterwards. I haven't seen my nephews since CHRISTMAS!!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!! I can't wait, they are going to get kissed like crazy. Well I have a boatload of things to do today but I will see if I can get someone to take a few pictures of the dedication and I will take some this weekend. Will post them hopefully next week. Although I have two portrait sessions next week and packing to do!! We will see. Have a great weekend.

Please keep praying
I wrote about Don's cousin Joe. He has lymphoma cancer. Last week we got the news that the cancer is not in his bone marrow. Unfortunately yesterday we got the news that it's pretty much every where else. He has tumors all over his body. On Friday they will be doing a biopsy to figure out exactly what they are dealing with. Please Please pray for this family. Last week Joe's wife lost her job. They weren't supportive at all that she was missing work due to this situation. It breaks my heart. They really needed this job and her income. Thank you.
We are still alive!!
Well we survived last week! I took Brodes to the Dr. on Friday and he had an ear infection and a virus. He seems to be doing better. I am trying to get back into the swing of the things. Yesterday I went to the Y for the first time in a week. :) I went into my wedding on Saturday pretty tuckered out but it was really fun. I think that the pictures are looking good and at some point I will post some on my photography blog. Sunday night I had an engagement session and it was really fun. Those are already on my blog. Check it out!! :)
I am really excited for this weekend. My sister and her 3 boys are coming to visit! Along with my step-mom. It's going to be interesting to have five additional people in our little house. Hmmmm..... that will be something to post about. Brody is being dedicated on Sunday so they are coming for the dedication and to go school shopping. I haven't seen my nephews since Christmas and my heart just aches!! I can't WAIT! I miss them so much. It's also going to be really fun to see them interact with Brody and vice versa since they actually can play with him now without me worrying about them hurting him.
My life right now is full of taking care of Brodes, editing pictures, running around... and all that good stuff. I will keep you posted if anything exciting happens!!

Did I just have another baby!??
I tried commenting on a friends blog and I am so tired that the clouds wouldn't even clear for me to think of anything to say. Brody has been sick this week. Neither Don nor I have been feeling well either and we are all so exhausted. I think Brody might be feeling better but he is also on motrin today and of course today is the day of his Dr. Appt! So the question is do I keep the appt and go anyway or cancel it assuming he is getting better? I am too tired to make the decision. The sad thing about being so tired is that I went back to bed this morning when he did and slept until eleven. He woke me up otherwise I don't think I would have gotten up. I am hoping to take another nap today and get rested up for a wedding that I am shooting tomorrow. I am booked for 9 hours. So it's going to be a long day and I need all the energy I can muster. Anyway I am just rambling. This is why I haven't been blogging.
Our week outside of Brody being sick has also been filled with a situation within our family. Most of you know and some of you may not. We found out last week that Don's cousin has cancer. His name is Joe. He had cancer several years ago and it's returned. Joe is Don's best friend. Joe is actually married to Don's cousin and they have three children. He has lymphoma and currently has two tumors. One is in his skull and one in his groin. I believe he has spots in his armpit as well. Last Sunday we went to church with them and prayed for Joe along with the rest of our family and leaders of the church. It was a very powerful time, God's presence was evident. I can't quite explain the scenario but it was very moving. Yesterday we found out our first good news, Joe's cancer is not in his bone marrow. This is very big. It means that the cancer is localized and it makes the battle easier. One week from today he will be having surgery to have the tumors removed. Please being praying for Joe and his family. His wife's work is not being very supportive and is giving her a hard time about missing work. This makes me so sad I don't understand this mentality. Anyway thank you for your prayers. Anyone in the area who wants to share support there will be a benefit Aug. 30th, I can post details later.
