"The ways I don't have it all together"

My friend Melissa posted this entry on her blog. She encouraged us to share the ways that we don't have it all together. I am a little concerned that I won't have enough space. :)

I talk a lot, and sometimes forget to listen. I want to listen, I just get a little overly excited about sharing. :)

I react on my emotions and don't like it when things don't go the way I expect them to.

I struggle being patient and remembering that Brody is 2.

When I am hungry and tired I am not very nice to my husband.

I struggle with reading God's word.

I can get impatient with Don if I ask him to do something and he doesn't do it in the timeline that I want him to.

I stole this one from Melissa... I struggle getting on the floor and just playing with Brody.

We watch to much TV. (This is why I run around singing... "I need to tell you something, I don't have a belly button." courtesy of Veggie Tales. :)

I hate to fold clothes and put them away, they often sit in laundry baskets for several days after being washed and dryed.

Most days I do not make the bed, Don is pretty good at making the bed so that helps.

I rarely take out the garbage I wait for Don to do it. :) ( I do stuff though, dishes and vacuuming etc. :)

I tend to argue or nag my hubby.

I sometimes yell at my 2 year old.

OUr kitchen table is cluttered all the time with papers and stuff.

I can almost always talk Don into telling me what he got me for a present, guessing what it is or giving it to me early. (hangs head in shame, I can't stand the anticipation.)

Ok. Well I am 100% positive that there are more but I will stop for now. I do think that there is a benefit to being real and sharing our inadequacies with each other. Just to remember that no one is perfect we all struggle and we can find hope and encouragement in one another's strengths and weaknesses. ;)

"Cute Hair"

Ummmm... I am soo red right now. I am sitting at the coffee shop and was 100% certain that a girl I know walked through the door. I spoke up and said. "Cute Hair .......??? and her name." She looked at me and said thank you. How funny because it totally wasn't her.

Nothing yet!

I am still have not had a baby. Just thought I would let you all know. :(

Home Stretch, 38 & 39 weeks

38 weeks

39 weeks :)

Hot diggity dog! I am in the home stretch. Yippee. I had my 39 week appt today and she said I am almost 3cm dilated. WOOT WOOT! Let's get this party started, that's what I say. :) My week is going to be interesting. In the next hour we are dropping Brody off with his Grandma and Grandpa. They are taking them home with him until after the baby is born. I can't believe that I won't have to worry about where he is at or getting him somewhere before we go to the hospital. It just worked out that they were coming to the area for a Dr. appt and we asked if they would take him home. So they are. :) We are planning to make arrangements to have him picked up before I leave the hospital, we would still like him to come to the hospital to see his new baby brother. Soooo... I will possibly have some time at home alone. I can't wait to sleep in tomorrow. At least I hope my body let's me because lately it's been more about my mind and body waking me up then Brody. I can take a nap at any point in the day or a shower and I will be able to run errands in the middle of the afternoon if I need to. How crazy?? HOwever, I could also go into labor at anytime. So we will see. :) Regardless it gives me peace to know that he is taken care of. Friday I am turning 33 years old. Can you believe it? It would be great not to be in the hospital on my birthday... hmmmm??? I wonder what my chances are? AND my mom is coming into town this week and will be here for a while. Not to mention that I might have a baby this week!! So there ya go. My weekend was a little tough. Not really but you know how it is at the end. I had signs that made me think I would go into labor and I felt awful all weekend. Got sick to the point of throwing up and then NOTHING happened, you know at the end when you anticipate it really messes with your emotions. However I got over it. It felt good today to have my appt, and know that there is progress and now I can just sit back, relax and let nature run it's course. Soon I won't be posting anymore belly pictures but BABY pictures. I can't wait to meet my baby.

kissy kissy

Don and I were laying in bed the other day snuggling and talking. Well ok, we were kissing a little. Brody walked
into and room and says.

"Mommy, what are you doing?"
Me: "kissing daddy."

Brody: " I want to kiss too."

you know you've watched too many...

children's movies, shows, or listened to too much children's music when you can't stop singing...

"I need to tell you something, I don't have a belly button."

hmmmmm....
