28 days and counting

36 weeks, 36 weeks... lalalalalalalalalaaaaaa......!!! Wahoo baby come on! I am SO SO DONE! I hope he will be soon, too. :) I did take a picture today and at some point will post it. I just wanted to do a little pregnancy update. So I started prenatal appts. today week to week. I am measuring great, I didn't gain any weight the last two weeks *woot, woot*, the heartbeat was 150 bpm. So everything is coming right along. I have had a few braxton hick contractions which has been weird because I didn't have ANY contractions with Brody until I went into labor. So just one more thing to differentiate this pregnancy from the last. Brody was due May 21st and was born the 18th, so I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that this baby will come early too. I think that's it for now. Good night

My Little Gentleman

I almost forgot to share one story with you about Brody. Actually I could probably write something everyday. He is becoming such a little man. Talking more and more, repeating EVERYTHING!! Like CRAP OLA, right Don?? ;) Hahaha... Anyway one of my favorite things that he does lately is this. :)

Last week we were playing outside in the grass. I went to get up and he extended his hand to me. I realized he was trying to help me up. :() He has started doing it all the time lately. I am at that point in my pregnancy where getting off the floor isn't easy. I always ask Don for his hand and my guess is that Brody is seeing his daddy do it so now he tries to help too. Oh, that boy makes me melt.

Brody

Brody and I were walking to the park one day. I was distracted playing with my phone while we were walking when I hear Brody say HIII... and he is waving. I look to see what he is doing and he is waving enthusiastically at his new friend... HIS SHADOW!! :)

Mommy: Brody did you have fun with Grandma Janet.
Brody: jabbers and smiles.
Mommy: Did you read books, did you play with cars? (I don't remember exactly what else I asked him.)
Brody stares at mommy blankly (pauses): Sure

Don and I rearranged Brody and the baby's room. The baby will sleep in our room for a little while but once we transfer him to the crib they will share a room. We got the room all rearranged and Brody informed us in a grown up manner.

Brody: baby sleeps here (pointing to the crib), Brody sleeps here (pointing to Brodes bed.)

Today Brody learned that he can turn the lights on and off with the light switch. This is going to be fun. :)

Brody is also enjoying singing lately. Especially row row row your boat. We recorded him singing one night and when I get around to it I will have to post it. He is also into try putting clothes on lately but he always tries to put them on over clothes he already has on. He loves loves shoes. He likes to wear either mine or Don's shoes and has been seen wearing high heels. :)

Busy Busy Busy...

Last weekend I got to go see my wonderful friend Melissa and we spent a good chunk of the weekend cooking. I came home with 29 frozen meals. Isn't that crazy. We cooked 11 different meals but had 2-3 meals out of some of them. So that's my freezer, actually that is only one shelf. :) We had a really fun weekend. If you click here you can see a few pictures from our weekend together. Her 6 yr old daughter took the pictures. :)

So this weekend we continued the theme of getting ready for baby. We put the bassinett together. Which we are borrowing. I love it. It's so pretty and I love seeing it in our room. It makes me so excited to picture another beautiful boy. :) Then we had to go to our storage locker aand pull out the car seat, baby clothes, boppy pillow, receiving blankets, baby blankets. We washed everything, sorted it and put it all away. I am starting to feel pretty prepared for this little guy. Now I just have two more weddings to finish editing and I can just wait for this little guy to come. :)

34 & 35 weeks

34 weeks

35 weeks

35 weeks!! Wahoo. I have a confession to make...
I did not take a picture at 33 weeks. I can't believe I let it pass, but I was tired and having a lot of anxiety during that time. I am bummed that I have taken one every week and allowed myself to miss a week. Oh well. Like I said 34 week picture to come but here it is 35 weeks and I even bared it for you all. UFF DA....

THE NAME!!

Round and round we go and where we stop who the heck knows. We certainly don't but somehow tonight we compiled a list of names. We each came up with a list then from each other's list we picked names we liked and came up with six names. So now we want to know your opinion on which name you like the best. :) So check out our pole, make sure you vote!! Who knows whether or not we will name our son one of these names because by the time he is born we may just change our minds, AGAIN!

Some of what I have been up to.

I have had the best intentions this summer to post pictures and write about things we have been doing. Mostly I spend time with Brody, clean the house, photograph people and edit their pictures AND of course I have been resting. I do get in naps, mostly because I get to the point during the day where I can physically no longer keep my eyes open or if I don't get a nap I might hurt somebody... then it's just a necessity.

So I am sorry that all you have seen all summer is maternity pics but I feel like I have barely kept up with that. One of the things that I HAVE to blog about is my sister ELOPING!! That's right folks, my darling sister got married. The best part is that she flew me down to Florida to be the only person who got to witness their union so that I could take their pictures. It was so fun to be there and celebrate with her and obviously a huge honor. Here are a few of their pictures! You can see even more here.

It was an interesting trip! They got married July 10th. I left for Florida the 9th. I was up at 3am that day to catch an early morning flight and from the point on it was go go go. One trip I got stuck in a middle seat, that was not fun. Being big and pregnant does not go with a middle seat. Oh well. The next day was super fun. My sister was beaming all day. She got up super early and I only got up at 6:30. By 8am we were on our way to start pictures. They did a great job looking out for me that day. It was crazy hot and here I was 7 months pregnant treking through the sand on the beach with about 30 lbs of equipment through the hot sand. I forgot how hard it is to walk through the sand. At times I thought I might have been going backwards. It was great to see my sister and again so much fun to see her get married. I am thrilled to have another brother-n-law ! I love you guys. Congrats, again.

Ok. So I just did another wedding as well this last week that I have to mention. This was also a very fun and meaningful wedding. A very good friend of mine who I used to work with got married. I have friends who I have known for 19-20 years, some 7-14 years, etc. Katie and I have known each other about 4 years. However, we have been through a lot together and we have seen each other go through a lot. I have seen her experience a lot of heartbreak and it was such a blessing to her marry Eric. They were so cute together. I did something new and tried to create a slideshow to post on my business blog. Well I could never get it to post directly but I have the link. So if you want to see it, here it is.

Well clearly that is only a small portion of what I have been up to but at least now you have seen more then just my belly and heard about something else other then pregnancy! :)
