I was trying to think about what I have been doing so that I could update you all but I can't remember what I did last weekend. :) Oh boy!?? Alzheimers is already kicking in.... I am in trouble considering I am only in my early thirties.
Ok seriously though I think we stayed in Friday. Saturday Don, Brody, and I went to the gym to work out and NOW I remember. Saturday night we went to his cousin's graduation party from college. Oh yes. After we went to the Y we went to the meat market. My girlfriend introduced me to this meat market about a year ago now and we have been going ever since. So we got home from the meat market, Brody took a nap, and after he got up we got ready to go to the grad party. It started at 11:30 but we decided to spend the day together and go closer to the evening. So around 4:45 we finally get there. Brody had just fallen asleep for another nap and as we are sitting there chatting trying to let him take a nap we realize that we left the meat in the trunk of the car at HOME! So we were hoping that it hadn't gone bad and turned around to go home. When we got home Don got it out of the trunk and everything was still frozen solid. LUCKILY!! Seriously it was like $50 worth of food. I just felt sick thinking about losing all that meat. No worries. Anyway, we finally got to the party and it was really fun to be there to celebrate with him. We are really getting more connected to this side of the family and I am so happy for Don that he has made this connection.
Sunday we went to church and in the afternoon I snuck out to go do a little shopping. I needed to get some shoes for my friends wedding. It was fun. I had a little quiet time to myself. A friend of Don's came over for supper and we had a really nice visit. Such a great friend. Don and him went to college together. We watched a movie, chatted and I turned in. They stayed up talking till about 1:30am. I am such an old lady. Anyway it was a good weekend.
Yesterday was my girls night. It was so fun. My girlfriend came over and we went to the gym and exercised together and then we went out to eat at one of my favorite restraurants, "The Good Earth." YUM!! It was really so much fun to see her and visit. We always laugh when we are together. She is getting married in just a little over 2 weeks and I can't even believe it. We have been friends since we were in Jr. High and I am certain we always will be. I am taking her pictures for her wedding and am so excited and nervous at the same time. This weekend is her bachelorette party and I am sooooo excited. We are getting together for Margarita's and appetizers & then going out to a dueling piano bar. So hopefully I will get some pictures from the night and have something fun to share with you next week. I also have my first wedding of the summer this Saturday so I will post some of those pictures on my blog, hopefully next week. Well Brodes is sleeping and I should actually do something! Have a great day. :)
