starving child??

Brody is in a screaming phase. As I have met and talked with other moms this seems to be somewhat typical for his age. YEAH for us! Brody's scream is a high pitched lovely shrill sound. When it comes to feedings (haha) this becomes more emphatic. Once I put him in his high chair he seems to take the stance that the food should already be on his tray. If it is not he proceeds to communicate to me that he doesn't appreciate it. So I will paint a picture for you of how things go from here. Let's say I am giving him shredded cheese. I will place a small pile of cheese on his plate, which he LOVES! He will then grab a handful in both of his fists and gobble it up. Literally shoving the cheese from both hands into his face. You would think at the rate he is eating that I hadn't fed him in days, when in reality it's been about 2-3 hours. I know that there are starving children across the world, I just didn't realize that there was one in the Resemius household.

They know what they want, and they wanted it yesterday! Patience doesn't exist in the toddler world.
