Life at home

Are weekend was full of running around. Friday night Don's cousin had her graduation ceremony from college. It was fun to go and celebrate with her and the rest of the family. I got to meet his uncle Danny whom I had never met before. We are quickly becoming a part of this family that Don has longed for a long time. It's interesting because it gives me a small glimpse into who his dad was. I am thankful that Don has reconnected with them.

Saturday we got to meet up with my sister Tami. It was brief but well worth it, even if we only got an hour. We met at IKEA and walked around a bit. She had never been there before. Then Don and I decided to go to MOA afterwards. We grabbed some food and then shopped around a bit for some very needed stuff. Brodes has need a spring/fall coat. We are gearing up to do some camping this summer and he really didn't have  a coat. So now he does. This is pretty exciting stuff isn't it. Well Sunday was the same way we ran to Dick's Sporting Goods store to get a few more things for camping. We are planning on camping this coming weekend for Father's Day. I am excited and a little nervous. I am not certain how well Brodes is going to sleep camping but we will see. It's been awhile since I have had a chance to get outdoors and take some scenery pictures so I am going to try and see if I can produce something good.

I am still faithfully going to the Y regularly and so far I have lost a wopping 1 1/2 lbs!!!!!! SERIOUSLY!!! Oh well. I am trying to remind myself it's a lifestyle change and it's not about losing weight. I am trying to be health concious. I am excited because tonight I am making my version of Chipotle's burrito bowl. Grilled chicken, white rice (light on the rice), black beans, salsa, and home made gaucamole... YUM!! No sour cream and no cheese. It still sounds yummy though. Anyway, I am starting to ramble so that's all I have on the home front for now. Enjoy your week.
